8/20/2023 0 Comments Argonath bookendsMany thanks to Liró Photography, for the wonderful photos. The printing process using this settings is and approximated 3 hours and 30 minutes. These require supports, but the hardest part to print, the hand holding the weapons and the weapon itself, have been separated and split to facilitate the printing process and still allowing for a simple assembly using small drops of superglue. Whether in this collectors gift set (which adds Argonath bookends and a DVD of National Geographic Beyond the Movie: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring) or the unadorned four-disc set, the extended-edition DVD is the Fellowship DVD to rule them all. These were printed at 0.16 layer height, 200✬ Pla, at 70mm/s, 2 perimeters, 3 solid top and bottom layers and 15% infill. While not the massive size of the originals, you can certainly resize these to fit your print volume without too much of an assle (those of you with a CR-10 500, how I envy you), at the moment though their size is a modest 12cm. In the book, these are Isildur and Anárion, one holding a bearded axe and the other a double headed axe. In the movie the statues portray Isildur and Elendil, one holding an axe and the other holding a sword, Narsil. These bookends feature a couple lovely quotes. For the crafters out there, these bookends actually come as a DIY kit with instructions for you to put together yourself 58. Ever since I saw those two statues, representing Anárion and Isildur I wanted to have a physical version, and while I have the statuettes from the movies, these differ from the book/online game. It didn’t occur to me until I saw it, but there’s no denying the Argonath are absolutely a top-notch choice for LOTR bookends. I've been playing this game for more than 10 years and it's still my goto place to relax and simply look at the scenery and immerse myself the the lore and questing. They’re just the thing for LOTR fans looking to add a Middle-earth twist to their desktop or bookshelf. These massive statues are one of the wonders we get to see from up close in the awesome game that is The Lord of the Rings Online. Organize and display your Tolkkein collection like a true hardcore fan using these Lord of the Ring-themed Argonath statue bookends. "Great power and majesty they still wore, the silent wardens of the long-vanished kingdom", J.R.R. "Behold the Argonath, the Pillars of the Kings!"
